Hickory stripes to invade our streets by mid-2012!

Let me introduce you to the Hickory pattern. But what does it stand for?

Well, the Hickory pattern is a piece of the North American heritage. The blue and white fin “hickory” stripes have long trimmed the US workers’ and railroaders’ working outfits. And given the current crave for this kind of old dirty and dusty things, especially in the eastern districts and northern side of Paris, we would not be surprised it would invade our streets here and there in the months to come.

As you can see below, it fits all items from shirts to ties, shoes and backpacks. Needless to say that you MUST NOT wear hickory from head to toe!

“C’est un morceau du patrimoine américain. Bleues et blanches, les fines rayures “hickory” ont pendant longtemps orné les tenues de travail des cheminots et des ouvriers américains. Etant donné le contexte, très porteur pour ce genre de vieilleries à ongles noirs, on ne serait pas surpris qu’elles pullulent, par ici, dans les mois qui viennent.”

Comme vous pouvez le voir plus bas, ça le fait sur tous vêtements, des chemises aux cravates en passant par les chaussures et les sacs à dos. Inutile de rappeler qu’il faut ABSOLUMENT éviter le total-look.
